Dermal Fillers Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a substance found naturally in the body responsible for hydration, volume, and supplying vitamins and minerals to the skin. Ageing skin is has reduced HA, which causes loss of volume and thickening of the skin resulting in wrinkles. What Are Dermal Fillers? Dermal Fillers involve injecting HA into areas with reduced volume to smooth out wrinkles around the mouth and nose and give fuller lips. Results can be seen almost immediately and can last up to one year.
